On this May 10 edition of BangTheBook Radio, host Adam Burke and Christian Pina tackled UFC 237. Fight cards in Brazil are always interesting for a variety of reasons and this one is no different. The guys discussed the main event between Rose Namajunas and Jessica Andrade. They also talked in deep detail about Jared Cannonier vs. Anderson Silva and Jose Aldo vs. Alexander Volkanovski. This podcast was deliberately long and detailed on those three fights because the other fights don’t offer nearly as much intrigue. Christian had some strong thoughts on a couple undercard bouts that he shared with listeners as the guys glossed over the rest of the card looking for free picks and predictions.

This is a tough fight card to handicap because there are a lot of unknown fighters and a lot of chalky matchups over in Russia. The main event features a couple of household names, but Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan is the lead-in to the main event. Marcelo Golm and Devin Clark are known names and so is Shevchenko, though Antonina is not nearly as well known as sister Valentina.
