Get it together TETSUO! The mind bending, brilliantly animated anime from the late 80s Akira has been confusing watchers since its initial release. But once you've seen it 4-5 times, like us, you start to get it and then you realize the story is also just as next level as the animation.

Two dance-centric movies of the 1980s go toe to toe. Kevin Bacon fights oppression with the forbidden art of dance and does some pretty wild gymnastics in Footloose whereas Jennifer Grey falls in love and fights classism by learning the tango from a no good bad boy dancer in Dirty Dancing. Sultry dancing aside (is it hot in here) which one is the better movie?

Nothing says 'Happy Easter' like Sally Field and Burt Reynolds in exceptionally tight jeans. The plot doesn't have to make any sense to enjoy watching 1977s Smokey and the Bandit. We debate over who Smokey and the Bandit really are, discuss the iconic moustache and the fact that the chase was all to drink some Coors. East bound and down, up, side to side. 

We up the anty in this rumble. The classic animation showdown. Both star casts. Both bugs. Both ridiculous stories. Both neurotic main characters. Dave Foley plays an ant. Woody Allen plays himself. Sylvester Stallone is there. A fat German caterpillar is obsessed with being a beautiful butterfly. There is a dude lady bug? Antz happened because a guy got salty and wanted to spite Disney.

Podcasts are like a box of chocolates, except with those sheets that tell you what you're gonna get...Did they not have those yet in the 1960s? We make a bunch of symbolic assumptions on the multi-academy award winning epic, Forrest Gump. A masterpiece that includes instructions on the many ways to cook shrimp, a ping pong montage and dope, period appropriate music.

Before Vin Diesel's neck muscles took over his entire body...In a world where Jesse from Breaking Bad quits the meth game and opens up a car garage comes this rumble of two instant cinematic classics. Who was more needy for speedy? Who was more fasty and furiousy?      

We talk Juno, a coming of age story about a quirky high schooler (played by Ellen Page) and her journey through the most heart warming take on teenage pregnancy ever. Plus Michael Cerra before he had a duster-stache. If you like snappy one liners, orange tic-tacs and sloppy but adorable acoustic music Juno is a film for you. 

We try to compare these classic films as just films but inadvertently rant about their iconic franchises in our first Reel Rumble! We know the wrath of fans could strike back but does that stop us from saying controversial things like "I'm so over Star Wars" Nope. We gush over Kirk and Spock's bromance and rave about the practical effects in Empire Strikes back, a.k.a the little stick that pokes the Walkers to make them fall down.
