On this Friday edition of the Lake Show, Lake recaps his thoughts on last nights' debate, the process of debating, and the importance of fact-checking live and in real time. Then, Lake and Wessy talk about a reality check for professional athletes knowing about when it's time to move on as in the case of Alex Morgan and the US National Women's Soccer Team. The Wolves not only made their selection in Wednesday's first round of the NBA Draft, they made some deals to shore up the roster.  Henry goes through some of the moves the organization executed over the last 36 hours.

During this second hour of Thursday's shortened show, Henry looks into the following topics: What do you look for, trust-wise, in your TV news personalities? How did the Timberwolves make out in the NBA Draft? How did Twins starter David Festa do in his Major League debut? Plus, we hear the headlines making news towards the end of another workweek.

In an excerpt from the first (and shortened) hour of the show, Henry finds out if some of the listeners will watch Thursday night's Presidential Debate.

Prior to Thursday night's Presidential Debate, Henry asks the listening audience if they'll tune into it.  He opens up the phone and text lines to hear listener reaction.

Can a reporter ask a coach or player about future plans following a devastating postseason loss?  Sure.  Should they?  Henry and producer Jonathan Lowe give their thoughts on the matter.

In this hour, Henry and guest producer Jonathan Lowe discuss several topics. What in the world is happening with our weather? Are MLB pitchers getting taller overall? Should a reporter ask about a sports figure's future after a crushing postseason loss? We also get the headlines of this Wednesday, June 26th.

Even though we're not halfway through the WNBA season, the Lynx lifted a trophy on Tuesday night.  Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder journalist Charles Hallman takes us through the team's great start to the season (including winning the Commissioner's Cup).  Plus, he looks ahead to the NBA Draft.

Media stories focus quite a bit on crime in Minnesota's largest city.  But do the statistics tell a different story?  Henry asks about the topic and wonders how Minneapolis leaders can get people to visit Downtown.

Henry covers the first hour of the show with a couple topics: After telling us about a viral video he recently discovered, Henry wonders how people can find joy, laughter, and escape in their lives. Is using A.I. to recreate a deceased musician's voice going over the line?  Henry looks into a couple of recent examples, including one that has Drake getting some pushback.

Minneapolis Star Tribune Sports columnist Lavelle E Neal joins Henry Lake to discuss his transition from beat writer to Sports Columnist. His favorite memories, his new book, and moments on the beat for the Minnesota Twins.
