For many years,  Obie Yadgar was most of the best-known 'voices' of classical music radio programs in the Midwest,  with stints at both WFMR in Milwaukee and WNIB in Chicago.   His book "Will's Music" was initially published in 2005.   I am guessing that this interview was done around that time.  

From the archives:  this is Kenosha County Sheriff Dave Beth's earliest interview on the Morning Show, recorded shortly after he was first elected.  (He has announced his intention to retire next year.)  

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire, we're rerunning this interview from 25 years ago with Karen Sawisak, author of "Smoldering City:  Chicagoans and the Great Fire 1871-1874."   The interview was conducted by Bill Guy, long-time news director at WGTD and the original host of The Morning Show.   It originally aired on the 125th anniversary of the Great Chicago Fire- and has never been re-aired until now.
