116. The ‘90s, Last Light, Letterkenny, She-Hulk, and Thrones Or The Empire Vibes Back
23/10/2022 Duración: 01h25minIt's just Kevin and Andrew again, as everyone else seems to be too cool to hang out on a Saturday night. What results is probably one of the shortest episodes in APNC history. That said, it's a lot of content in a small package. Andrew kicks it off with a trip down memory lane, primarily driven by his first watch of Empire Records, a film loved by the rest of the APNC crew. Did he love it? Well, we can leave that up to you interpret, but the answer is also, "not really." Thanks to Andrew's conversation in the pre-show, Kevin remembered that he watched Peacock's Last Light with Matthew Fox. It's a short 5 episode miniseries about how a global petroleum crisis would effect the world. Yup, in just 5 episodes... After that, he jumps into a quick talk about Letterkenny and the new spinoff, Shoresy. Finally, the guys finish off the episode with She-Hulk and House of the Dragon. There is no Lord of the Rings talk this week, so next week should be double covered there. Also, in theory, more of the regular APNC c

115. Moonfall, The Summer Big Three, And Morbin Time Or Kevin Teaches Science
23/10/2022 Duración: 01h46minAfter a two week break, we're back. Well, some of us anyways. This week it's just Andrew and Kevin again and they have a lot to cover. The episode kicks off with a quick discussion about Morbius. Yes, it's quick because, well, that film was a turd. Pure and simple, When the show gets going, the guys have a fun exchange about Moonfall which just dropped on HBOMax. It's an interesting discussion about a film they should hate and maybe sort of don't? Judge for yourselves. The guys then jump into She-Hulk, which is quickly becoming a much maligned show, though Andrew may be more of a fan than Kevin. Next up is the new offering from Amazon Prime, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. It's a long name, but the guys dig it and the overall review is solid. It's still in the early goings and it moves at a different pace than the "competition." Speaking of that, they finish off with the latest episodes of Game of Thrones which is having a nice run. Both guys are digging the show and where it's going and there are

114. Hulks, Orphans, and Thrones Or Kevin (Man) Explains Childbirth To Kim (Actual Mom)
03/09/2022 Duración: 01h55minWhile the kids are away, the grown ups will play. With Pete and Andy out this week, it's just Kevin, Andrew, and Kim left to put something together for you guys. Thankfully, the entertainment gods are being generous, so there is a lot to cover this week. The three of them jump straight into it with She-Hulk and the latest episode. There's definitely a shared feeling with this one. We don't want to spoil anything, but if you are absolutely loving She-Hulk, you may not love the gang after this one... Kim discusses the Ricky Gervaise joint, After Life, again in a little more detail and then proceeds to take the guys to video game land with a little chat about Destiny 2 and video games as an adult. Andrew takes a much deeper dive into The Sandman and discusses how his views on it changed as he dove deeper in. Suffice it to say, Neil Gaiman fans can stop making Andrew voodoo dolls. He then discusses the recent Dave Chapelle doc on Netlfix before jumping into discussing the Orphan films with Kevin. The Gang then cl

113. She Hulk And Friends Or Has Andy Completely Given Up?
03/09/2022 Duración: 02h13minThis weeks episode kicks off with Kevin, Pete, and Andrew discussing Black Widow and the MCU, because why wouldn't it? After getting through that, Pete takes us down some nostalgia road talking through a few classic films he's watched with his daughter before jumping into his take on the now APNC classic, Old. Andrew briefly gives his take on Sandman. Is it a bit of a hot take? Maybe, but radical honestly is what we do here! The guys do find out, though, that maybe they don't know a thing about Neil Gaiman. Don't worry, they are definitely pop culture experts, though... That said, they get some education on the spot. Kevin then talks a bit about Lost in Space before Andy shows up in what is either the most seductive or the most disturbing manner imaginable. You can decide for yourselves, just don't report us. The guys finally jump into She-Hulk with Andy in tow and break down the first episode and a lot of the hubbub surrounding the pilot. It's definitely a lot of fun and there is some very (shockingly) insig

112. Black Phone and Woodstock 99 Or Andrew And Kevin And None Of The Riff Raff
18/08/2022 Duración: 01h46minThis week we have the skeleton crew of Andrew and Kevin. That's right, only class acts here. Pete is out parenting, Kim is under the weather, and Andy is line dancing. Yeah, you read that right. Hide your farm animals, folks... But I digress. This week Kevin and Andrew keep things pretty tight and relatively focused. They talk Black Phone now that Kevin has seen it. He some hot takes (probably just lukewarm, to be fair) on it, but the guys generally agree on it being solid. Andrew discusses the new Netflix documentary Woodstock 99 and gives a whole lot of insight into what went down all those years ago. Definitely watch the doc, but Andrew gives a ton of very interesting info on it. After the big topics, the guys talk Marvel, Upload, Everything Everywhere All At Once, Ted Lasso, and even the new Smallville podcast, Talkville, hosted by the shows stars, Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum. Jump into this one and, as always, don't forget to like and subscribe. Also look us up on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

111. Preying on Batgirl Or Tangents Prove That DC Is Still Clueless
18/08/2022 Duración: 02h13minAttendance is low this week and it's just Kevin, Pete, and Andrew in this session. That said, even without Kim to keep them under control, the guys stay very topical this week. Of course the hot topic of the week is the new Hulu film and Predator prequel, Prey. Much like all of the other internet buzz the guys are all over this one. Not to spoil anything, but they obviously loved it and have no qualms about spewing their opinions everywhere. Before they get to that, though, they take the traditional APNC meandering path to get there. Of course the topic that runs through the very beginning is the madness going down at WB/HBO/DC right now. Also on this path is The Stranger Things Experience, Stray, Uncharted (the movie), Bodies Bodies Bodies, and Nope. That last one leads to a bit of a tear down of poor M Knight Shayamalan. I'd say he knows what he did, but at this point, it definitely seems that he does NOT know what he did.. All in all, it's a lot of fun this week and somehow fairly on task. As always, don't

110. What Makes a Strong Female Or Kim Tries To Stop Three Idiots Mansplaining
18/08/2022 Duración: 02h05minThis week, Kim gets the gang in line by getting everyone in touch with their feminine side. Except Andy. He's not allowed to get in touch with himself on camera. But everyone else takes the opportunity to talk about some of the best female characters in TV and film. There's a lot to unpack here and Kim has a lot of work to do, keeping the buffoons in line. She does the job admirably and the gang manages to make some very interesting points. It's weird for everyone that they did something so... mature, but they pulled it off. As always, don't forget to like and subscribe and share us with all your friends. We've promoted Kim to show regular, so you don't have to be AS embarrassed to tell people you watch the show anymore. Also, stay tuned later in the week, as we have a special treat dropping. We played some trivia, but this episode stood on it's own so we'll have that as a side episode later!

109. SDCC Recap Or We Got The Memo. You Can Have Kim and Andrew Back!
18/08/2022 Duración: 02h08minOk, guys, message received. Pete and Kevin are the old guard and Andrew and Kim are the fan favorites. While we're not ready to put the old fossils out to pasture just yet, we did make sure to get Kim and Andrew back this week so we don't lose any more viewers! Don't worry, Kevin is definitely not sensitive and crying in a corner right now. As for the episode, the full gang goes all in on SDCC. As expected, there's a heavy focus on the D&D trailer and the Black Panther 2 trailer. This doesn't mean the group doesn't get into everything. There's some Game of Thrones talk, some Lord of the Rings talk, some DC talk, and of course a whole lot of Marvel. As usual, don't forget to like and subscribe. We know you are really here for Kim and Andrew, but we can't keep Kim on the payroll if you don't show her the love. We pay her in likes and if you don't give her any, she'll be fired and that's on you!

108. Pete Talks Stranger Things Or Oops We Did It Again...
18/08/2022 Duración: 02h42minPete's back this week so obviously everyone else decided not to show up. I swear he keeps his clothes on... Anyhow, this week is mostly dominated by Pete returning to talk about Stranger Things, since he has missed all of the good chat over the last few weeks. Since he started from the beginning, he has many thoughts and ideas about the whole of the show, so buckle up! Once the guys break away from that, Pete discusses the new Elvis film and Kevin discusses the polarizing new Resident Evil show on Netflix. While this won't be the last of Stranger Things talk, it will be the last of it for a while. Next week should see (maybe?) the full compliment of APNC regulars, so be ready for that. As always, thank you for watching. We apologize for Pete. Sadly the surgery wasn't any kind of facial reconstruction, but don't let that deter you from liking and subscribing. It's not his fault and he needs our moral support!

107. Love & Thunder & The Kitchen Sink Or A Girl? What?! Is She Lost?!?
18/08/2022 Duración: 02h11minThis week we have a new guest for the first time in a very long time. And the guest is… female!!! WTF is going on over here on the production side? But before we get to Kim, Kevin decided to discuss the elephant not in the room, Pete. Pete was out for surgery this week and, well, Kevin tells the heartbreaking tale at the start of the show. After that, the show gets going with a bit of a getting to know the new guest, Kim. She gets the guys going down a few tangents and also realizes a long held love of films and her history in screenwriting. She's clearly cooler than Kevin and Andrew right out of the gate. Once the episode gets going, the group focuses on the new Marvel offering, Thor Love & Thunder. It comes with it's own set of mixed reviews and is relatively spoiler free, so if you somehow haven't seen the film yet, you should be safe to listen! We hop you enjoy the fresh blood this week and are excited to have Kim back sooner rather than later. As always, thank you for watching. Don't forget to l

106. The Stranger Marvel Boys Or Deja Vu All Over Again
18/08/2022 Duración: 01h52minIn a strange (ooh, a pun?) turn of events, this weeks show is somehow almost last weeks show! Pete and Andy are lost in the wind leaving Kevin and Andrew to fend for themselves. This allows them to talk about the only things they seem to know, Stranger Things and Ms Marvel. Okay, thats a bit of an exaggeration. Andrew also breaks down some of The Boys without getting too spoilery. He also discusses the one day theatrical release of the 80’s animated G.I. Joe film. Kevin talks about the new Beavis and Butthead flick on Paramount Plus, and season 2 of Superman and Lois. Unlike last week, the guys drop in a few more tangents, though if you ask them they’ll tell you they were planned. We know it’s hard to watch another episode without the pure sex appeal of Pete. And you can’t convince your Aunt Becky to watch when Andy isn’t here. But Kevin and Andrew really are doing their best. No judgement, ok? As always, thank you for watching. Don’t forget to like and subscribe. Who know what new content will be coming down

105. An Uncharted Journey Through Stranger Things, Kenobi, & Ms. Marvel Or What The Focus?!
18/08/2022 Duración: 02h04minThis week is another APNC first. Only two of the guys show up and none of them are Pete or Andy. Don’t you worry all you thirsty ladies (and gentlemen?), these beefcakes, like Frosty the Snowman, will be back again someday. This leaves you with Kevin hosting and Andrew co-hosting. What happens when the guys hit record is almost unprecedented in recent APNC history: a show with almost NO TANGENTS. Kevin kicks it off with talk of last years semi-flop, Uncharted but the guys quickly move into Ms. Marvel, Kenobi, and Stranger Things. Be warned, without the slackers that are Pete and Andy, Kevin and Andrew dump spoilers like they are going out of style. We strongly recommend catching up on all of these shows before listening. And to be honest, you should be caught up on them anyways. They are awesome. As always, thank you for listening and/or watching. This one has a different feel than usual and it won’t be the norm, but we hope you like it. We’d say to tell your moms about this one, but without Pete and And

104. Three Men and a Grab Bag Or is Pete a Scientologist?!?
13/08/2022 Duración: 02h21minThere is no describing this episode properly. This week is an epic tale of tangents. It’s almost impressive what the guys DIDN’T talk about. Pete talks a bit of Stranger Things, Andrew talks about the Leah Remini Scientology docu-series. Kevin talks about the now classic Sci-Fi series, Fringe and the new FX series The Old Man. None of that takes up even a 10th of the episode, as the rails are complete hopped repeatedly. What is really impressive is how much Pete knows about Battlefield Earth. It’s almost inexcusable to know this much about Scientology and L Ron Hubbard. Let’s be honest, it’s not shocking when you really think about. All we can do this week is apologize for what you see on this episode. That said, don’t forget to like and subscribe. If you make it through this episode, it can only be uphill from here, right? Usually we’d make a mom joke here, but structure isn’t what this week was about, so why start here… See you next week (we hope).

103. Ms. Marvel’s Dominion or Andy Sucks at Trivia (Still)
02/07/2022 Duración: 02h52minThis week, the guys have another mixed bag approach, but focus heavily on Jurassic World Dominion and the first episode of Ms. Marvel. They also try to talk about other relevant things, but it turns out that they are collective slackers and currently have several holes in their knowledge. Don’t worry, we’ll dock their pay accordingly. The Jurassic World talk is fun, but only for Kevin and Pete. The Andy’s haven’t watched and this apparently their own problem! The review is still a bit of a mixed bag of enjoying the film for what it was, but also bashing all of the things it could have been. The Ms. Marvel talk DOES involve everyone and some universal praise - a rarity for this show. The guys rave about all of the things that make the show new and exciting. It’s a lot of fun and a ray of positivity in the otherwise dark corner of the APNC’s universe. They guys also cover several trailers, including the new Jo Key joint and Black Adam. The guys have high praise and a lot of excitement over one and t

102. Stranger Things and Shining Girls And X-Men, Oh My! Or Andrew Learns About Mad Libs
02/07/2022 Duración: 02h40minEpisode 102 - Stranger Things and Shining Girls And X-Men, Oh My! Or Andrew Learns About Mad Libs Back to their slightly less structured selves this week, the guys burn through an extended "what they've watched" segment. This, as you'd imagine, leads to some tangents and general shenanigans. It also leads to a remarkably interesting talk about the X-Men films. In the second half, they guys play some games of Pete's design that once again lead to some fun tangents. The show finishes off with a fun game of Mad Libs which, somehow Andrew has never experienced before. Canadians, amirite? As always, thank you for watching. We hope you enjoy this one and leave us a comment or two to let us know how great we are. Pete really needs your support. Andrew is great, so maybe you don't have to remind the other guys how much cooler he is. Kevin's a pain in the ass and probably needs your affection, but he'll never admit and will probably mock you for it. Andy wasn't here this week so you or your mom are welcome t

101. A Tribute To Ray Liotta Or Structure - We Did It (Mostly)
02/07/2022 Duración: 02h07minThe guys are back this week and trying something new - structure. Pete runs the guys through an ordered list of topics. Everyone gets to focus on one thing and Kevin breaks down the week in news. That starts off as a treat with the Star Wars Celebration and then goes down the glory road with a remembrance of Ray Liotta. That conversation is generally upbeat and respectful to Ray, but it gets really dark there at the end. But, really, who is surprised. As always, thank you for listening or watching. If you haven’t already, don’t forget to like and subscribe. Leave a comment if you have some suggestions or just to let us know that the restraining order is still in effect and Andy has to stay away from your mom’s house. We’ll pass on the message…

100. The Century Mark or Pete and Kevin Reminisce Until Andrew Saves the Day
25/05/2022 Duración: 03h22minOn the 100th episode, Pete and Kevin shed not only the culture, but the pop, too. Rather than talk about anything current, they go sentimental route and reminisce about their podcast journeys. Before they get there, though, they start getting more woke than they have any right to be. When they finish looking back, they start to look ahead, but not before going on a Trek tangent which is a prelude to a future episode. After that, they fall in line and start discussing the future of the show. This will give you a look into how we plan a show. You know, that insight you never asked for… but it’s fun, I swear. Watch and enjoy this week. Next week it’s back to normal episodes but we wanted to give you a look behind the curtain for episode 100! As always, like and subscribe. I usually make a crack about your mom and Andy at this point, but this being a different kind of episode than usual, I’ll leave you to come up with your own joke. Hint: Andy and your mom is always comedy gold…

99. It's A MARVELously STRANGE MOON KNIGHT or Kevin Apologizes Profusely For His Transgressions
11/05/2022 Duración: 02h11minThe four horsemen of the nerdpocalypse get together and discuss the most recent things from the MCU: the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer, Moon Knight and Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Dont let the acceptable run time fool you, there are tangents a'plenty as the proverbial conductors strain to keep everything on track. If you see only one movie this year, that's fine because this is a podcast and your mom really wants you to listen to it. Tell her we said Hi!

98. Did The Batman Fix the DCEU? or Kevin Drifts Away Like An Enya Song
05/05/2022 Duración: 03h19minYou get something special this week: A slight peak behind the curtain. A portion of the begining of this episode are some preshow antics and the boys dicussing new format possibly. Let us know what you think of the ideas. The guys kick off the official show with some good stories. Pete shares a story about a trip to the local live theatre. If you participated in theatre at any point, you'll really dig this story. If you didn't, just treat it like your spouses Christmas party and laugh when everyone else laughs. It will be over soon... This week, Andrew talks about the classic film, The Hurt Locker. This leads to a quick discussion about how much he looks like Anthony Mackie. And, let's be honest, you've never seen them both in the same place at the same time, have you? Pete then takes the guys into the big talk of the day, The Batman. For the first time in a long time, the guys actually like a DC film! Yes, there are some issues, but overall it is a great film by DC standards which feels like such a dirty thi

97. Dark Mirror and the New DCEU or Pete Saves You Time by Not Showing Up
05/05/2022 Duración: 02h33minThis week, the guys manage to keep it tight(ish). With Pete out, there's only Kevin and the Andy's to make this machine go. After last weeks marathon, the guys were happy to keep it tight. Andrew starts it off with a discussion that heavily centers on one if his favorite genre's, Anime. Of course he covers Attack on Titan, but he also covers what he does and doesn't love in the genre in general. It's a cool conversation for anyone that loves anime or might just have a passing interest, as there are a few core anime philosophies covered here. Andy then starts his portion off with a discussion of Dark Mirror which triggers Andrew's love for that show, too. We are really starting to get into the heart of who Andrew is, it seems... But back to Andy. He next talks about having watched some DCEU films which is never a good idea on this show. Kevin, having watched very little uses Andy's DCEU topic to discuss the latest reports coming from the Warner/Discovery merger and the plans for the future of the DCEU. While i
