John is the founder of Project RV - an outdoor activity organisation which supports military veterans, from the Royal Marines and Parachute Regiment. John has also released a biography about his own experiences, called "Fish Out of Water". He has also done pretty much everything else in life....started a band, appeared on Total Wipeout, owned his own company, swam to the Isle of Wight, professional boxer, threw a NASA boss off a cliff....the list goes on.
