Peter tells us, that with God there are only two categories of the after life. Spared, and Not Spared. Saved, delivered, or judgment and everlasting punishment. The way to each category is a choice. The false teacher is the enemy. And the Holy Spirit uses the Cataclysmic events of the Flood and Sodom and Gomorrah to illustrate the deliverance of the Spared, the godly (Noah and Lot). And the end of those who are ungodly (The Angels who sinned, the world of the ungodly, and the Sodomites).
