It's claimed Clare has the worst national secondary roads in the country. It comes as a special meeting will take place today to assess priority roads for resurfacing in the Kilrush and Ennistymon Electoral areas this year. Last year, just 6% of Clare's road network was restrengthened, well below the national 10% target. Cathaoirleach of the West Clare Municipal District Fianna Fáil Councillor Rita McInerney says increased investment is urgently needed.
