At the age of 11, Afredo Diaz, and his family moved back to the U.S. from Puerto Rico. Alfredo was now writing short stories and drawing, which he continued to do through high school. Along the way, he added a few more art forms to his repertoire: he was a graffiti artist, a tattoo artist, and even started making posters for local musicians. It was around this time he fell into the underground society of NYC and went through a dark period in his life…until he met his present mentor one day while driving a limo and she encouraged him to keep writing. Writing turned into screenwriting, screenwriting turned into filmmaking and filmmaking turned into acting. Acting has taken over in a way he probably never would have expected. He’s studied acting with currently some of the best teachers, like Larry Moss, John Dapolito from AWG and Marketa Kimbrell from NYU Tisch. He’s been working since either as a hired actor or creating his own work and collaborating with other artists. As a playwright he's had his work up at T
