We continue 1 Kings this morning. Our world is full of anxiety, but our God has placed his Son on David's throne. Despite all the world/s schemes, he reigns! What king of king was Solomon? What kind of King is Jesus par excellence? Introduction: "Everybody wants to rule the world" but "My kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36). *In Solomon's rule over Israel and the surrounding nations, we see a faint glimpse of that kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy of the Messiah.
