We begin 1 Klings this morning. It opens with an anxious time of succession to David's throne, reminding us of the anxieties we have in our world. What we learn today is the son of David sits on the throne and reigns over the kingdom despite all the world's schemes. Because of that, you can trust Christ, find rest from your anxieties, and have hope that the Lord's hidden hand of providence is over your life.
