Through God’s patient dialogue with Jonah and the lesson of the plant, we see that God’s heart is gracious, compassionate, slow to anger, and abounding in love—not just for us, but for everyone, even our enemies. The challenge for us is clear: to not only embrace God’s grace but also extend it—reflecting His heart toward others the same way He has shown it to us.
