A graduate of Ohio University and Columbia College in Chicago, Bonkowski has covered pro and college sports for nearly 40 years, a majority of it as a motorsports beat writer. Over his career he has worked for USA Today, ESPN, and Yahoo Sports covering everything from NASCAR to the NFL, and also covered the Chicago Bulls championship runs in the 90s. Jerry has won awards for his writings from The Associated Press and the National Motorsports Press Association and is an accomplished author with his book entitled, Trading Paint: 101 Great NASCAR Debates.
