This mix takes its name from V2, the downstairs bar at Via Fossa on Canal Street in Manchester, where I used to DJ regularly. V2 was the name given to the lower level of the venue, a space with its own bar area and DJ booth that quickly developed its own atmosphere within the club. It was a great room to play in and always attracted a lively crowd from the Village. The mix reflects the kind of sound that worked well there, chunky house with dirty and progressive elements, built for a packed dancefloor and late night energy.
