Ultra Dirt 9, Gambo’s Mad One, is a special mix in the Ultra Dirt series. The name came from someone who started following the podcast after hearing the earlier Ultra Dirt mixes. Ben, better known by his nickname Gambo, became a regular listener and supporter of the series and over time turned into a good friend as well. This mix was named after him and keeps the Ultra Dirt sound going strong, darker, dirtier house tracks with twisted basslines, driving beats and plenty of attitude. By this point the series had built a strong following, bringing in a lot of new listeners who enjoyed the tougher side of house compared to the funkier mixes I was also releasing.
