Power. It is something that we as a society are drawn to. We marvel (no pun intended) at the superheroes, whether it be Superman, Spiderman, Captain America, or any other superhero in our pop culture. We see this idea sought after in politics, sports, business, and unfortunately sometimes even within church leadership. From the world’s perspective, power is seen as a way to gain authority, wealth, fame, and to accumulate, oftentimes for a person’s own selfish indulgences. But the Bible speaks of power in a different way, that is, the power to be transformed, to overcome, and to be bold in God’s work
