Koans are paradoxical questions used in Zen practice to help us reach a deeper level of understanding instead of relying solely on our thinking, rational minds. You don’t have to be a Zen Master to develop the same kind of wisdom used in Koan study. Zen Priest Lawrence Dōan Grecco gave this dharma talk about how to approach your life in a way that enables clarity, appropriate choices, and a direct experience of the world.
