Millions of views and what worked was going after low competition keywords and backlinks. I used to backlink the shit out of my videos and this helped them rank. After Google's Penguin, Panda and other updates backlinks don't work as good as they used to. Too many backlinks from shaddy sites and it can hurt your rankings.
