Why Virtual Reality Will Change How We Consume & Design Content

I have read from an article in marketingmag.com.au that Facebook’s VP of engineering, Cory Ondrejka is in the works with Oculus Rift to bring virtual reality to a billion people. Now, let’s pause for a while there. A couple of days ago I was trying the Samsung Gear VR, and I was like a kid enjoying a new toy that Santa just dropped five months ahead of Christmas. And I have to tell you; I’m no Samsung fan but the technology embedded on that piece of gear made me experience content in a whole new way. And what happened next was a completely odd realization that I might need to shift my focus soon if not now to creating content that can be experienced in this platform. Yes I am a storyteller, and I might have some level of competence in this area but after experiencing the Oculus technology, I am just amazed at the possibilities that are endless if I am to tell a story in a virtual reality space.
