Fred Biletnikoff was a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders in the for fourteen seasons and later an assistant coach with the Black and Silver. He retired as an NFL player after the 1978 season, and then played one additional season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Montreal Alouettes in 1980. He was one of the most sure-handed and consistent receivers of his era, with a reputation for making spectacular catches. He was also known for running smooth, precise pass routes.Those attrbutes paved the way for his induction into both the Pro Football Hall of Fame (1988) and College Football Hall of Fame (1991).
