KAAPO KAKKO ADDRESSES MEDIA AFTER RANGERS 3-2 OT WIN OVER PENGUINS, Kaapo Kakko registered two goals, including the game-winning goal in overtime, tallied the first goal of the game, and recorded three shots on goal. Kakko was selected as the game’s First Star. According to NHL Stats and Information, Kakko is the first 18-year-old who has registered a multi-goal game in Rangers history. He has tallied a goal/point in each of the last two games (three goals) and in four of the last seven games (five goals, one assist). Kakko leads all 18-year-olds in the NHL in goals this season (six). Kakko has recorded eight points (six goals, two assists) in 2019-20; his six goals and eight points are both the second-most by an 18-year-old in Rangers history.
