Caroline’s new book is The Sun is a Compass which chronicles her (and her husband’s) 4,000 mile, six-month journey—all human-powered—from the coast of Washington State, north to the Arctic coast. But her book isn’t just an adventure travel memoir. Caroline is a wildlife biologist so she’s not just writing about her adventures of rowing, skiing hiking and canoeing. Her observations include a scientific and environmental perspective.
