Con Edison’s Bobby Kennedy, his team and the University of Albany are taking a hyper-local look at New York City weather. With 17 newly installed weather stations that measure wind, rain, snow, air and even river temperatures, providing hyper local data to find the so-called “ground truth.” With that data, trends can be better identified to drive decisions on everything from climate change to storm hardening the grid.
