Con Edison is challenging the federal Environmental Protection Agency to retain authority to utilize a wide range of regulatory measures to combat climate change. Con Edison is the second largest producer of solar energy in North America, has reduced its own carbon emissions by 49 percent since 2005, and has invested heavily to encourage customers to consider solar, battery storage, energy efficiency, geothermal, and electric vehicles.
