So as today is national make up your own holiday day, I thought it was an ideal time to discuss hashtags. There are many rules of thought right now as to whether you should use them at all or use them sparingly etc. etc. My personal thought is, as someone with no brand or a little brand awareness you need people to still find you which is why hashtags are so important, especially for those people who use their chosen social media channel as a search engine.
