Many of us have grown up watching A Cinderella Story, Sleeping Beauty, or The Little Mermaid, where we may have adopted the belief that we need to find someone who who will save us when realistically we could actually save ourselves and turn out to be our own hero. Instead of striving for the happily ever after we can strive for a happily ever effort whether that’s in our relationships or with ourselves.
