Where does our help come from? The psalmist answers this question and directs us to turn our attention, to fix our gaze, to lift our eyes to the Lord--our one true Help.

God offers security, stability, and salvation to His people through Jesus Christ. Oh, the Good News of Jesus Christ--our security, stability, and salvation!

In the second part of Psalm 107, we see how the LORD uses both adversity and prosperity to accomplish His purposes in our lives. Per the repeated command in Psalm 107, church members both young and old tell their story and tell why they are thankful.

Dixie Vodry sings "I Want a Mansion" before the sermon. Redeemed People are Thankful People. Redeemed people can say that the Lord satisfies, sets free, saves, and sees through all those who belong to Him.

David wrote this psalm to lead us in lament, prayer, and praise. In six short verses, we learn how to approach the Lord in all aspects of life.

We come to the end of James' letter and its abrupt ending. Those who wander and those who are lost need us, God's people, to care enough about them, to love them enough to bring them back from the way of error, back to the Truth.

James discusses the "when", the "how", and the "why" of prayer.

James instructs us on what our prayer life should look like, and reveals the ways in which we neglect prayer. James makes it clear that everything is meant to direct us Godward.

James echoes his brother, Jesus, telling us not to swear oaths. We who belong to Christ must speak with characteristic truth in all things as we represent our Lord.

James tells us to be patient, and gives us three examples, three patient people who will teach us to be patient: the farmer, the prophets, and Job.
