Football returns on Thursday, so let's all get excited. Host Adam Burke was excited to welcome professional handicapper Bryan Leonard and VSIN contributor Wes Reynolds back to the show. There were some really interesting discussions about the betting market and the nature of line moves on this episode of BangTheBook Radio. With Bryan, the guys broke down three college football games by listener request, with thoughts on Michigan State vs. Northwestern, Tennessee vs. Florida, and Bowling Green vs. Kent State. Adam shared four picks very likely to make the card and four leans based on the contest lines that are out there for this weekend's NFL action. He talked about how things went last week in the SuperContest and then discussed this week's opinions with stats, trends, analysis, and a comprehensive breakdown of the sides that he likes. Brent from DSI Sportsbook joined us for this week's version of The Odds Report to discuss sharp money in the college football and NFL betting markets. There sure is a lot of it this week, as overreactions are taking place in the betting odds and a lot of injury situations have popped up. Adam and Brent covered a lot of games with sharp interest that have moved and forecasted where those lines will go as we head into kickoff.

Our first full week of shows is in the books, as host Adam Burke rounded out a fine week of shows with two solid guests. Christian Pina of the Sports Gambling Podcast joined us to talk about his MLB betting strategies and his college football season preparations. We've focused on the different ways of handicapping this week and Christian brought another new perspective to the show with his focus on prop and derivative markets. Brent, the head risk manager at DSI Sportsbook, joined us to talk about what the job of a risk manager actually is. He discussed the use of information to move lines and then looked at some of his futures exposure in college football and the NFL. We do have sharp action out there for Week 1 games in both college football and the NFL, so the guys discussed those and also more along the way about the whys and hows of the job.

Thursday editions of BangTheBook Radio are going to be great once again this season. Professional handicapper Brad Powers joined host Adam Burke to chat about Week 3 of the NFL Preseason to get us going for today's program. After looking over the Dress Rehearsal Week, the guys moved to the college football side of things to talk about final preparations, any notable power ratings adjustments, and some additional strategy before breaking down some games. His style is a very intricate one and this was a phenomenal conversation about different ways to handicap, the factors that matter, and about the meshing of the new school and the old school that he uses to pick games.
