Luke continues to chronicle the ministry of Jesus, as He travels with the twelve disciples healing women. Jesus reminds them that many distractions will come in our life time. We must be prepared to stay focused upon Him. Trials and test will come, but we must be faithful and continue reading His word. His word is like a Lamp, it lights the world. Jesus stills the sea and reminds His disciples that when the storms  of life, and they will, He reminded the disciples they had faith as well.  Luke continues to tells us of the mighty deeds of Jesus.  He healed the soldier and the dead young man. We are never to take offense at Jesus, regardless to who does not believe in Him. Jesus tells us that John was His messenger, who went before Him. Jesus tells us that, to whom much is forgiven, they love much, but those who are forgiven little, they love a little. Luke records the early ministry of Jesus. Jesus ask, is it good, to do good on the Sabbath? Jesus then heals the hand of a follower. Jesus chooses His 12 disciples and then begins to minister to them. (The Beatitudes) The poor are the blessed ones. To Love our enemies, don't repay evil for evil, don't judge. Lastly, We are to build our foundation on truth, the Bible.  Luke tells us of the first disciples and how Jesus performs miracles of the load of fish. Peter told, he will be fishers of men. A Leper and Paralytic are healed, and word gets out to the masses about Jesus and His powers. People go to great extents to hear Jesus, so that can be healed. Levi, a tax collector, is called to be a disciple. Jesus reminds the Pharisees, that there will come a day when fasting will be done, but not while the bridegroom, Him, is with them.  Luke tells of the temptation of Jesus in the wilderness. Jesus never failed us. He knew His purpose and what His calling was. Jesus starts His public ministry in Galilee, teaching in the synagogues and He was praised by all. He announced His purpose was to preach to poor, to give sight to the blind, and to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. He healed many. He casted out demons and laid hands on the sick and they recovered. He came to preach the kingdom of God.  Luke starts this Gospel off telling us of the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem.  The shepherds are told where to go and what to expect. They will see child, sent from God to redeem the world. The shepherd went to Bethlehem to tell of what they had seen. Luke goes on to tell of how Jesus was presented at the Temple. The priest offered the sacrifice, a pair of Turtledoves or two young pigeons. Mary and Joseph was returned to Nazareth, as Jesus continued to grow in wisdom.  John tells us about the birth of Jesus and John being foretold. How the angel appeared to Zacharias  and Mary. Zacharias's prophecy tells about God's people being delivered for their enemy.  John heard and saw these things. A River of the water of life. The Throne of God and of The Lamb. The tree of life bearing 12 kinds of fruit. There will longer night or sin. Jesus send His angel to testify these things for the churches. No one should ever add or subtract anything from the prophesy of this book.  John's vision continues to let us know what we will see in the last days. The holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven. The tabernacle of God being among men. No longer any death, pain or mourning. All things will be make new. There will be no temple because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.  John's vision included;  The Marriage of The Lamb, The Coming of Christ,  The Doom of the Beast and False Prophet, and in chapter 20, Satan is freed and then Doomed.  John's vision is clear. Babylon the dwelling place of demon and unclean spirits with fall.  A voice from heaven warns us to come out of her, so that we will not receive her plagues.  John saw an Angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud, with a rainbow upon his head. He had a little book that was open. The angel told John to eat the book and it would be sweet to the taste, but bitter in his stomach. The people wanted him to prophesy. In the 11th chapter, Christ's reign is foreseen. The temple of God will be opened and the ark of His covenant will appear in His Temple. There will be a great sound of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. John describes the bottomless pit in great detail. Horses rushing to battle, scorpion tails that sting, and mankind being hurt for five months. He talks about the Army from the East, two hundred million with breast plates the color of fire and of hyacinth and brimstone.  John tells of Six Seals being opened:  The Rider on the White, War, Famine, Death, Martyrs, and Terror. The 144,000, Twelve thousand from every tribe of the sons of Israel: Judah Reuben Gad Asher Naphtali Manasseh Simon Levi Issachar Zebulun Joseph Benjamin There will be multitudes from every nation and tribe praising The Lord. They will be before the throne of God, serving Him day and night.  These are the ones who came out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes made them white in the blood of The Lamb.
