This super-short podcast is my first multi-guess-cast and features three extremely talented up-and-coming hip-hop artists, Cohen Robinson, Patrick Watkins, & The Trufe!  Cohen and The Trufe (a.k.a., Myles Robinson) are brothers; but, they have been friends with Patrick since they were kids.  So, they consider themselves all brothers. Whether working together on their group or doing their own individual projects, Cohen, Patrick, and The Trufe always support each other—and tonight was just another example.  Cohen Robinson had one a singing contest that gave him the opportunity to open for the Vanilla Ice Block Party, and Patrick and The Trufe collaborated with him on the performance. This podcast was recorded backstage right after their set, where it was crazy loud, energetic, and surreal.  What an honor to be able to speak with and get to know a little bit about these guys after such an awesome moment in their lives! I kicked off this second series of the Curve the Cube podcast with a guy who brings us sooo much great inside-track south Florida content!  Aaron Wormus created the Twitter handle, aGuyOnClematis, to chronicle the development of the West Palm Beach waterfront—and it has turned into SO much more! Jay has been a part of south Florida’s news scene for nearly 14 years now (Happy Almost Anniversary, Jay!), and is currently an anchor for both WPTV News Channel 5 and WFLX Fox 29. In our chat, Jay gives some really inspirational insights into how he pursued his career and was able to break into such a huge, hot market.  He is so appreciative of the opportunities that being a newsman in south Florida have brought him, takes every opportunity to give back, and shies away from the “local celebrity” label. Andrea has touched just about every corner of the entertainment industry, and now is focused on growing her company and relaunching her blog, Media-Gypsy, which focuses on helping others pursue THEIR dreams. We sat down with some wine, and she got REAL!!  Andrea talks about her entry into the industry through dancing and cheering for the Miami Dolphins, the struggles of coming up, and her future goals. This is the PREMIER episode of Curve the Cube, and in this episode, we feature Kevin Rolston of the KVJ Show—a big dog of morning radio here in south Florida!  I feel privileged to call Kevin both a friend and mentor.  So, I am very grateful that he graced the Curve the Cube podcast’s pilot episode! And, Kevin really brings it!  After surprising me with a bit of beat boxing, Kevin gets into the evolution of radio in his life (including just how he broke into the biz), some hilarious coming-of-age tales (which show why he needs to call his mother more often), and the hit to his chest that changed his life.  He also talks about life in and on radio, adding a story that really made me tear up. I must apologize in advance, though.  Muddle through the moments of bad sound quality mixed with my obnoxious laugh.  It’s worth it!  There are so many gems in this podcast!!
