Andre Lee, Jacob Ingham and play-by-play announcer Josh Schaefer join host Jesse Cohen for an update from the 2023 Rookie Faceoff in Las Vegas. Lee served as captain in the first game of the showcase event, scored a short-handed goal and was +3 at the end of the first game. Jacob Ingham stopped 53 of 54 shots in just over 70 minutes of playing time.

The LA Kings have signed Trevor Lewis to a one year contract for the 2023-24 Season. Lewis was drafted by the Kings in the first round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and was a member of both Stanley Cup winning teams in 2012 and 2014. Hayden Hodgson has played in the Flyers organization for the past two seasons while Mikhail Maltsev spent the past two seasons playing in Colorado for the Eagles and the Avalanche. The LA Kings have signed two unrestricted free agent goaltenders, Cam Talbot and David Rittich to one-year contracts. Talbot played for the Ottawa Senators during the 2022-23 season but spent the previous two season with the Minnesota Wild and Kevin Gorg (Bally Sports North) joins host Jesse Cohen to talk about Talbot's time in Minnesota.
