All The Kings Men

The LA Kings finished up the first week of the 2022-23 season with a WILD 7-6 victory in Minnesota on Saturday night. Dennis Bernstein joins host Jesse Cohen to look back at the first week of Kings hockey and to name the first King of the Week of the season. The pair of podcasters name an honorable mention, a runner up and a consensus King of the Week before breaking down the play of multiple players that contributed to the Kings big win against the Wild.

LA Kings in arena host Mikey Alexander brings his trademark enthusiasm and positivity for a conversation with Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley. Mikey talks about the challenges of hosting a live event attended by over 18,000 people and what makes it the "best job in the world."

Zach Dooley and Jared Shafran join host Jesse Cohen to recap the Empire Classic played in Ontario on Wednesday night. The Kings lost to the Sharks 3-1 in the inaugural game but there were plenty of positives to take away from the event. Dooley and Shafran also provide further insight to the ongoing training camp and take a look forward and the remaining games on the preseason schedule.

Daryl Evans and Jared Shafran join host Jesse Cohen to recap the recently completed three game showing at the Rookie Faceoff in San Jose. the pair discuss which players stood out, how the coaching staff handled the short exhibition and which players are expected to build on their momentum at Kings training camp. Then Zach Dooley and Jack Jablonski help identify the top 10 storylines heading into training camp for the LA Kings. Training camp begins on Thursday and should feature a number of compelling competitions for roster spots. 

Brandt Clarke scored a shootout goal on Saturday to win the Kings second game in the 2022 Rookie Faceoff in San Jose. The young defenseman then joined host Jesse Cohen on Sunday to talk about the games and what he hopes to accomplish at training camp. Mikey Anderson also joins the program as he sat down with Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to talk about his new contract, expectations for the 2022-23 season and cereal.

Marco Sturm will coach the LA Kings at the 2022 Rookie Faceoff in San Jose and joins Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley on a brand new episode of All The Kings Men. Sturm joined the LA Kings as an assistant coach during the 2018-19 NHL Season and was recently named the Head Coach of the Ontario Reign. The trio discuss the upcoming season for the Reign and Sturm's time as assistant coach with the Kings. All The Kings Men is also proud to debut a new recurring segment titled "Make Mikey Say It".

Zach Dooley joins Jesse Cohen to talk about his personal journey through the world of professional hockey and how he wound up with the LA Kings. The pair also provide a basic guide to their role within the marketing department and discuss the history of LA Kings Insider and All The Kings Men and their evolution into what they are today.

Creative Director of EA Sports NHL 23, Mike Inglehart, joins host Jesse Cohen to discuss the latest release in the video game franchise. Inglehart talks about changes to the games most popular playing modes and some of the motivations guiding the creation of the latest installment of the popular game. The episode wraps up with a conversation with singer/songwriter Wally Pleasant (recorded in the fall of 2021).

Trevor Rabone joins Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to give some insight into his dual roles as Kings PA Announcer and member of the video production team. Rabone reveals some of the preparation work that goes into announcing a game and shares his perspective on both roles within the organization.

For the first time since 2019, the LA Kings will have a formal ECHL affiliation. Last week the Kings announced a two-year affiliation agreement with the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Head Coach, GM & Dir. of Hockey Operations, Andrew Lord joins Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to talk about the new agreement, the finer points of running an ECHL team and his career path from player to front office.

The LA Kings selected Jack Hughes with the 51st overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. Hughes joins Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to talk about his experience at the draft, his first season playing at Northeastern University and the LA Kings development camp. Then Jordan Hill, Associate Coach of the Owen Sound Express, gives Kings fans a preview of what to expect from LA Kings prospect Kaleb Lawrence.

Ontario Reign defenseman Cameron Gaunce joins host Jesse Cohen to give his evaluation for how three Kings prospects performed at the 2022 World Junior Championship. Gaunce has played for the Reign for the past two seasons and has first hand experience playing with both Helge Grans and Samuel Helenius. The veteran defenseman also shares his perspective on the evolution of the Ontario Reign in recent seasons and what the upcoming season may have in store for the fans.

Daryl Evans joins Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to give some insight into the role of an NHL Color Commentator. The Kings broadcaster reveals some of the preparation work that goes into calling a game and shares his perspective on his role within the organization and the community.

The LA Kings have hired Manon Rheaume as a Hockey Operations/Prospect Advisor. Rheaume, who became the first woman to play an NHL game when she tended the crease in a pre-season game for the Lightning in 1992, will work alongside executives within the hockey operations department in multiple areas, with a focus on prospect development. She will report to Director of Player Personnel, Nelson Emerson and joins Jesse Cohen and Zach Dooley to discuss her new role with the Kings and her incredible career in professional hockey.

The (rescheduled) 2022 World Junior Championship begins on August 9th in Edmonton. Chris Peters joins host Jesse Cohen to preview the tournament. Peters highlights the play of Helge Grans, Samuel Helenius and Kasper Simontaival after discussing Canada's controversial omission.
