Seth Rorabaugh, of the Tribune-Review in Pittsburgh, joins host Jesse Cohen to discuss the newly acquired Olli Määttä. The Finnish defenseman spent the 2019-20 season in a Blackhawks uniform but was drafted in the 1st round of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft by the PIttsburgh Penguins. The LA Kings have three picks in the 2nd round and two picks each in the 3rd and 4th round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. In the past two drafts, the Kings have selected four players from Sweden (Bjornfot, Fagemo, Lee, Sodergran) and two players from Finland (Kupari, Nousiainen). With 11 picks in the upcoming draft it stands to reason the Kings might add more players from the two hockey powerhouses to their prospect ranks.
