You are probably familiar with the old adage, "Location, location, location." It was one my father always repeated to me and how it applies to purchasing a home or property. I believe that old saying can also have application when used in a constructive way to analyze our daily Christian walk. Where we were, where we are, and where were going as we climb higher into new environments in this earthly journey towards higher ground.

The Two Greatest Fears

Over and over the scriptures, especially the great Apostle Paul, tell us.....no, command us.....to be joyful. Joy is not going to be handed to you on a silver platter merely because you are a Christian. We must CHOOSE joy. Join Dennis as he defines exactly what joy is and give powerful suggestions for how we can be joyful Christians REGARDLESS OF CIRCUMSTANCES." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Be joyful always, pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Psalm 23 is a favorite and often quoted psalm of David. David was a shepherd who refers to the Lord as his shepherd. He tells us that the Lord's rod and staff comfort him! The question we should ask ourselves is, 'What is the difference between the rod and the staff?" They were very important symbols to David, and Larry will explore with us how this imagery is relevant and impacting to us as Christians today.

When did you last ask God for the Holy Spirit? We know the Holy Spirit is the subject of much doctrinal debate. On any position we take on the subject, we are often swept along in the whirlpool of argument centered around the nature of the Holy Spirit. What is all too often lost in the debate is something upon which nearly every Christian can agree. That is the, work of God's Spirit. The internal work upon our mind, our hearts and the external work on our lives.

The Joy of Serving in Love

The LORD uses little things to accomplish big things. Jonathan and his armor bearer were just two against a Philistine force of no less than twenty. Yet because those two were willing to climb higher their victory proves that there is no hindrance to the LORD to save by many or by few. And their personal bravery and courage became the spark that ignited a victory for the entire nation of Israel.

One moment Peter is climbing out of the boat and walking on water – the next he is swimming with the fish. One moment he is saying Jesus you are the Christ, the Son of the living God … the next moment Jesus tells Peter – you remind me a lot of Satan. One moment he is faithfully declaring Even if everyone falls away, I will not … the next he is denying Jesus three times. That’s Peter. He is a disciple on a journey. You and Peter have much in common. Let's come together to learn, grow and to climb higher through our knowledge of Peter.

We are not told much about Salome but she certainly was a supporter and follower of Jesus. But in what way and to what degree? What else do we know about her? How did she and her family interact with Jesus? What was their relationship? Join Larry as he brings out lessons on how Salome climbed higher!

God told Moses seven specific things He would do... and He did them. That's the way God is. He says it. He does it! That's a great reason to have faith. Join Jon as he show us how to strengthen our faith.

Jesus said, "When (if) I'm lifted up, I'll draw all to me." The results haven't been great. Is it because what he said isn't so, or because we aren't lifting him up like we should? We lift a lot of versions of Christ up, but only the real Christ will draw all people to him. Watch and follow along with Mike and reflect on which Christ we raise up in our lives, actions and thoughts.

The Hebrews were called out of slavery in Egypt to a land flowing with milk and honey. They were led to the very border of the land they were promised, but instead went back into the wilderness. Does this story mean anything to you? What does mike and honey have to do with you anyway? You and I must enter the land that was promised. Join Larry as he shows us the land promised to us.
