This message is split into two halves. In the first half Peter introduces the Sermon on the Mount series, looking at Matthew the former tax-collector and Jesus. In the second half we look at the first beatitude "Blessed are the poor in spirit."

We need to be sure that we know, understand and communicate accurately this message we call the gospel. In this message Peter investigates the gospel which the apostles preached in Acts.

In Acts 1:8 we find the last words of Jesus prior to His ascension. His last words are a call for us to be witnesses for Him in our world. In this message Peter looks at what it really means to be a witness and also sets out practical steps everyone can take in order to reach out to those around us.

In Acts chapter 2 we're given a beautiful description of the first ever church. It was international and was hallmarked by generosity, community, depth and power. This is our vision for church 2000 years later.

In 1st Corinthians 15 Paul raises highlights perspectives on the resurrection. Firstly from a human perspective: what is the proof for the resurrection? Secondly (and more importantly) from God's perspective: what does the resurrection prove? In this message, preached on Easter Sunday 2010, Peter unpacks these two important questions.

Jesus was naturally supernatural. However in some Christian circles the supernatural is associated with jargon, weirdness and flakiness, all of which are off putting to ordinary people. In this message from the book of Acts Peter encourages us to become naturally supernatural and credible like Jesus was.

Peter and his wife Ann head up an aid organisation based in Africa where they feed, clothe and educate nearly - a million children a day. They are also involved with large evangelistic crusades which since starting have seen over 9 million people come to faith in Jesus. In this message Peter powerfully describes the relationship that faith and works have. We know that you will be inspired by this message.

Many problems that Christians struggle with wouldn't be there if they had a strong beginning to their walk with God. In this the first message in the Acts series Peter unpacks Acts 2:38 which sets out the essential first steps for all believers; namely - repentance, full immersion baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The Church in Ephesus which Paul wrote to was a passionate, on fire, God loving church, however 34 years later Jesus in the book of Revelation challenges the church because it's abandoned its first love. This serves as a warning for us all that we must continually pay close attention to our relationship with God.

Paul reveals in Ephesians 5 that the marriage relationship is a parallel of the greatest relationship ever - the relationship between Christ and His Bride the Church. In this message we look at the wonder of Christ's love for His Church, and our ultimate destiny as His people.

Paul writes to parents and more specifically to fathers instructing them: "...do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." In a day when most fathers were either absent or present and abusive, Paul's words would have been like a light shining in the darkness, bringing hope for the next generation. In this message we unpack these great verses and apply them to families in our age.

In Ephesians chapter 5 we find some of the most radical statements ever made about marriage. In a day and age when the marriage relationship is under threat these verses provide us with a robust foundation for successful life-long relationships.

All humanity is in a struggle, in Ephesians Paul reveals that "...our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." In this message you'll be shown how to stand and overcome as you face the attacks of satan.

Paul writes in Ephesians 6 to slaves and their masters. With an estimated 60 million slaves in the Roman Empire there were many slaves and masters worshipping together in the church at Ephesus. The principles and truths which Paul gave to slaves and masters are powerfully applicable to us today in our roles as employees and employers.

When times are tough where do you turn? Paul writes to a church during tough times and says: "...do not get drunk with wine ...but be filled with the Spirit?" (Ephesians 5:18). In our day people are turning to everything but God for relief. But the truth is that only in God do we find lasting satisfaction.
