In the book of James we discover that our words reflect what's truly in our hearts, our words actually direct our lives and that our words can have a huge impact (positively or negatively) in the lives of others. John Calvin said: "It is faith alone that justifies, but faith that justifies can never be alone." Tragically many people consider themselves as believers in Jesus, but according to James for many their faith is dead or useless. True faith acts like it believes.

John Stott said: "The symbol of the religion of Jesus is the cross, not the scales." God is just yet God is merciful. James encourages us to show mercy in same way we have been shown mercy by God. In this message we look at God's mercy and judgements, and our mercy and judgements.

So many people own and read Bibles, yet only a few allow the Bible to impact on the way they live. It takes two to make a successful temptation, and you are one of them. While the devil is to blame for initiating the temptation we are to blame for entertaining it. Today Jesus is actively involved in this world and in our lives. Whether people realise it or not moment by moment we are dependant on Him even to survive.

'Watch over your heart with all diligence, for from it flow the springs of life.' (Proverbs 4:23). Your internal condition is far more important that your external position in life.
