In order to have a solid year we need to start with a solid foundation. For many people their financial foundation is made up of credit card debt, student loans, interests payments, and rent. The most important things are often over neglected the most. Spouses don't communicate because work is a priority. Children don't spend time with their parents because they're too busy. Friends don't hang out because of the demand in their current role. Relationships require communication. The same applies to our relationship with God. The way we communicate with him is through prayer. However, that's the last thing on our list of things to do each day, each week, each month. Attending church Sundays is not enough to have a strong relationship with God. We must position ourselves in prayer. After all, we can't talk about solid ground without a solid foundation. A sermon series focusing on building our lives on solid ground. A firm foundation in Christ as the center. We all go through good and hard times. We face trials that can define us. Those are the storms in our lives. But how we come out on the other side defines who we are. It’s important to build your home, your relationships and your career on the solid foundation of Christ, so that when the tides rise and the storm comes, our house is secure.
