We can learn a lot from the story of Samson. He is a man who allowed his strength to become his weakness and lost everything he had in the process. Like Samson, each of us is headed in a certain direction with our lives. Some of us are headed in the wrong direction and God is trying to get us to turn around. He is sending you a signal this morning. Don't wait until it's too late. Listen and obey today. If you choose not to listen, you may find yourself in a place you thought you would never be.

Many of us didn't grow up with the best role models for parents, especially our fathers. They are flawed and so are we. Be we should not use it as an excuse for not being the best dads we can be to the kids and family that God has given us to steward. One powerful principle can be immediately applied to help make you more like your perfect Heavenly Father who is in heaven.

Many of us are missing the heart of the Christian experience due to the fact that we are not making the most of what we received at salvation. We don't see much progress in our life because we don't understand that the source of our strength is not ourselves, but rather God. God has called us to so much more. We need to remember that we have the Holy Spirit in our heart to help us truly live.

It is crucial as followers of Christ to come to a better understanding of who we were, who we are, and who we will become. We need to be able to grasp, both as individuals and as members of the body of Christ, what God is doing in us. Let's rediscover what God has done for us and in us so that we can continue to grow in His grace and really live life as He meant it to be.

We all like getting new things. We love the beginning of the new year. We look forward to spring time because it brings new life. The Bible has a lot to say about new things. It is in God's word that we learn that He desires for us to have new life, new dreams, new starts, new direction and even a new destination.

Worship is a part of every person's life. It is what we do as humans. We are worshippers. But what is the definition of worship? What is worship according to the word of God? Once we discover what worship is, we can then evaluate whether or not we are doing it properly.

Our mother's teach us valuable lesson in life. We are wise to heed their advice. Mary, the mother of Jesus, gives us the greatest principle in history to guide our life in John 2.

We use the word church in a variety of ways. It seems to be a negative word to many people these days. For other people it is a term that ignites a feeling of nostalgia. How should we speak about the church today? How should we view it? Does it even matter?

When we speak of God who are we talking about? What can we truly say about Him and be accurate? Can we define God? These are the type of questions that are deep and relevant to our lives. It is critical to really look at who God has revealed Himself to be in the Bible. It's who He says He is that is important.

The word Christian can mean a lot of different things to a lot of different people. How was it first used? How does it affect our lives today? What did it mean to be Christian in the first century?

The resurrection of Jesus Christ offers help for today and hope for tomorrow!

The last 21 hours of Jesus' life on earth was full of pain and suffering. He suffered mentally, emotionally, physically and spritually. His suffering was so intense that it is virtually impossible to fully grasp the price that He paid. The cross is a symbol of love and wrath, mercy and justice, and glory and shame. It stands as the most significant event in human history.

The gospel is good news. The good news is that Jesus opened the door to heaven for all of who place faith in Him. We know have direct access to the Father through the Son at the cross.

Inequity in life is hard to understand. A righteous man dying the death of an unrighteous man. But this is what Christ has done for us. He was condemned in the place of humanity. In light of this, what should we do?

Sometimes things get in the way of following Jesus. Some of them are not our own doing. But others are things that we let or even put in the way of following Christ. In the religious and civil trials of Jesus we discover three common obstacles to following Christ.

What comes to mind when you hear the word failure? It is something that we all experience in daily life. The good news is that failure doesn't have to disqualify us from serving Jesus. Jesus does three things that help people before, during, and after failure. The life of Peter gives us insight to the great love of Christ, even when we blow it.

Jesus suffered in many ways during His last hours before dying on the cross. He faced gross injustice, but always did the most loving things. Jesus loved humanity by always speaking the truth. He wanted everyone to know who He was so that they could gain life through faith in Him. He was the perfect blend of truth and love.

Jesus could have wiped out His enemies quickly. But He demonstrated great love toward His enemies with a supernatural mercy. Jesus loves us by withholding His wrath as well as giving us His grace.

An encouragement to refrain from the bitterness displayed by the older brother of the prodigal son and to instead embrace an attitude of forgiveness.
