  • The 2021 ENVEREST Challenge is Calling Your Name

    01/02/2021 Duración: 06min

"Exercise without competition, without danger or purpose, didn't strengthen the body...it simply wore it out." ~ Norman Mailer The short term future of our collective endurance sports scene is looking pretty darn bleak. But we've got just what you need: a ridiculous set of challenges designed to build your fitness and push the limits of what you think is possible: The ENVEREST Challenge: www.endurancenation.us/enverest Three separate events running February, March and May of 2021. Each event has a training time / volume goal. There are different levels of completion. The degree of difficulty increases as you either opt into more "work," less time for the same "work," or an evil combination of them both. Along the way, you'll be training and completing alongside new friends and teammates. There's a community space and chat channel as well as "event time" live communication. We can't guarantee that your ENVEREST will be easy, but we can assure you that you won't be alone. Registration is FREE and open to anyone

  • Body Composition Strategy with Brad Cline

    07/01/2021 Duración: 55min

Join Coach Patrick from Endurance Nation (www.endurancenation.us) for another weekly endurance podcast. This week Coach Patrick interviews Endurance Nation member Brad Cline on his strategic body composition approach at the start of the season. Over the course of 14 weeks, Brad lost 28lbs through a combination of Low Carb nutrition and a "relaxed" approach to Intermittent Fasting. While there is no "one size fits all" approach to body composition, Brad's work stood out for a few key reasons: Prioritizing body comp early in the season (Winter) vs Later as outline in our Lesson on Body Composition. Reduction in almost all training intensity (consistency remained) to make fasted workouts possible. Using (recent) personal best body comp targets as the goal vs imaginary targets. Tracked calories for awareness and timing using the My Fitness Pal app. Modified quality of post-workout meals to aid in his goals, specifically targeting Fat Macros Resources: Intermittent fasting info Low Carb/Met Flex diet My Fitne
