  • Be Less Petty EP2: TINDER, Love, & Care!

    06/11/2018 Duración: 52min

As you know this season of Be Less Petty is all about relationships. So this episode is no different. Mike and Kellye chat with Robert Conlin and Shona Moeller, a TINDER DATE gone right! OR swiped RIGHT should we say. Now as a married couple with like minds, goals, and ambitions, they are redefining what it looks like to meet a mate on the "APPS". Some key take aways shared in this episode are: 1) INTENTIONS: Many people on the dating apps have not defined what their intentions are when looking for a mate. By being very clear about this from the start, being an app user for the modern day dater can be a much more exciting AND rewarding experience. 2) SELF-LOVE/SELF-AWARENESS: A lot of times we get in relationships with the hopes that someone will save us. Fix the broken parts of our soul that we ourselves refuse to acknowledge. This is a set up for a let down. We must come into a committed relationship either knowing WHO we are or being willing to discover it independently from our mate. This is the on

  • Be Less Petty EP1: Communication

    30/10/2018 Duración: 37min

In this episode Mike and I (Kellye) chat with Anita Chlipala, therapist and founder of Relationship Reality 312, about how communication is the key to healthy relationships. We get deep and personal as we share some of our own experiences; as Anita attempts to break down some misconceptions around sex and infidelity. Some great take-aways Anita shares to help with communication in relationships are: 1) What are our nonnegotiable's? These are things we just cannot tolerate under any circumstances. Making this clear up front can save a lot of misunderstandings and miscommunications down the line. 2)SPACE is the new RESPECT when arguing. When a disagreement reaches that boiling point of NO return, then it's time to take a walk. Expressing to our mates we are too upset to further the discussion is not shutting down; it's taking the time needed to address the situation from a clear and objective stand point. ***OH BOY... #2 was big for me, because I always followed the kick ass and ask questions later me
