We went over the formation of the band, we spoke to Joe about his own experiences writing, singing, and broken down their latest album “The Animal Manual”. Check it out!  

We got family this week on Welcome To Babetalk! We sat down with all the members of Meraki/Toska, heavy post-punk emotional rock band out of Houston, TX! They’re veterans in the DIY community and have experienced everything from full US tours, member changes, and still have one of the better followings of their local and national circuits.

THIS WEEK ON BABETALK! NYC multi-punk kids Diet are coming on the show! We’ve been following these four dudes for a while and we’ve been loving everything they’ve been releasing. They’re riding high with the release of their latest track “GoGo” along with other tunes they have been recording over the past year. Diet has also been touring around the East Coast, recently playing with our friends in Everything Ever and Tiny Moving Parts. What else is in store for the band? We don’t know. We are thrilled to announce that Sheridan Allen of Punk Talks will be sitting down with the Babes this week! The 24 year old college senior had combined her passion for working with people while still holding on to her love of music in the community through a very caring outlet. Sheridan offers free counseling to musicians and industry workers. Her goal? To combine her two passions and give back to the community that has given us so much. This week on Babetalk we have Felicia Fagnani and Doug Goldspiel of Soundwave Inc! Each year they put on a local music festival, Gregapalooza. Gregapalooza is to raise money and awareness for school programs that support the arts in particular teaching children how to play instruments. This year Gregapalooza will be held this Saturday, June 20 at Glouceter Township Park. We’ll be talking with them about what made them start Gregapalooza, how they have been getting prepared for this week’s festival, and exactly what it takes to book and promote a festival.
