We are back after a brief hiatus with a new episode. One of the big topics of the day are all of the farewell/reunion tours that are causing division of among fan bases. We don't hold back on our opinions. The Ken Burns country documentary has been receiving rave reviews. We used that as a springboard to discuss some of our favorite country songs. Greg Prato is a well respected music writer who has written books about Shannon Hoon, Soundgarden, and the grunge scene among others. His most recent book Take It Off: Kiss Truly Unmasked is dedicated solely to the post makeup era of Kiss. This book is great read even for the most casual Kiss fan. Greg and David discussed the Kiss in the 80s and talked briefly about some of his other writing projects. Be sure to preorder Take It Off: Kiss Truly Unmasked before it is released on November 19.

The State of Amorica Podcast Host Ian Rice joins David this week to discuss the Van Halen Album For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. This album was a huge success for the band. It was a return to a more classic sound that yielded several radio and video hits.
