Church leaders are commanded to devote themselves to the word of God (all Christians should as well – Acts 2:42). Maturity in the church is measured by those who have “trained themselves by practice” to do life God’s way. We can trust men and women who obey God and His Word above their own opinions and desires.

There are solid reasons to put our confidence in the integrity of the Bible. In this message, we will look at the reasons we can trust the Bible as is and the importance of letting the Bible judge us, not putting ourselves above it and twisting it in any way.

Jesus tells us that His words provide the only solid foundation for living. If we build our life on His words, we cannot be shaken by the storms of life and will experience the blessing of God.

When trouble strikes, our attitude will determine whether it tears us down or builds us up. Learn the benefit of focusing your mind in the face of trouble by putting your hope in God. If we work through trouble with a joyful attitude it can be a real advantage for all involved.

Taking a faith approach to our work is crucial to a productive life. Concerns and worry in the midst of stress can paralyze us if we don't take control of our thoughts. Without faith, we end up sputtering toward our goal.

Our relationships have a major impact on our lives and the joy factor in them. Conflict happens, and the way I think as I work though it, brings joy or sadness.

Many times, the thoughts of our self that we replay in our minds over and over take us down. An accurate view of God’s thoughts toward us and an accurate view of ourselves can lead to self-respect and joy.

God makes it clear in His Word, the Bible, that we have control of our thoughts and emotions. Whatever we choose to dwell on in our heart determines the joy factor in our lives and the direction of our words and actions.

There are clear rewards and added value when we choose to be committed to living life in a church community. • We are consistently reminded of godly character and attitudes which have a high value (Colossians 3:16-17; 1 Timothy 4:7-8). • We find examples with good life outcomes to imitate (Examples of those commended in NT; Hebrews 13:7). • We multiply our effectiveness in key areas of life (family life; work; ministry, etc.) as we live life together (Ephesians 4:16)
