Just a quick round-up of various updates before the opening of the Oldtime Yuletide Advent Calendar!

Yes, it's time for our annual commentary track for one of the classic BBC Ghost Stories for Christmas! This year we have reached 1975, and Lawrence Gordon Clark's version of The Ash-Tree by MR James, adapted for the screen by David Rudkin.

In this show we take a look at a quartet of recent Ghost Stories for Christmas created by Mr Mark Gatiss which have at long last been collected together and released on DVD! Hence we have a welcome revisits to The Tractate Middoth (2013) , The Dead Room (2018), Martins Close (2019) and The Mezzotint (2021)!

Two very important announcements, including a very exciting one concerning the forthcoming Yuletide audio festivities!

A special episode paying tribute to the legendary comics artist Kevin O'Neill who sadly passed away this week. We take an in-depth tour through his life, looking at his work on ground-breaking titles such as 2000ad, his collaborations with fellow legends Pat Mills and Alan Moore, and celebrating the incredible comics he brought to the world such as Nemesis the Warlock, Ro-Busters, the ABC Warriors, Metalzoic, Marshall Law and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen!

We have reached the 1980s in our history of Halloween, and in this chapter we look at the first half of that decade, discovering Halloween TV specials galore from well-loved shows, various movie Tricks and Treats, the return of Michael Myers, and the rise of Elvira!
