It's a short and sweet (er, savory) episode this week - Murph gets a taste of the behind the scenes of Mr Pork Chop (Jr) with Matt Bernhard! And Andrea fills in with a ParrotTalk turned intro with questions from Murph. Back to our regularly scheduled format next week.

We all wish we were still out on RAGBRAI so this week on the pod we talk... RAGBRAI! Murphology interviews Andy Hanshaw from the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition about Bike the Bay, CicloSDias, and the National Bicycle Tourism Conference. Oh yeah and there's a ParrotTalk this week.

Governor John Hickenlooper is an avid cyclist looking forward to squeezing in his first RAGBRAI while campaigning across the state of Iowa for President. TJ talked with the Governor about his passion for cycling as well as his successful initiatives that helped make cycling better for his constituents while Mayor of Denver then Governor of Colorado. The Governor's background also involved starting Denver's first brew pub and his love of music. Thank you Governor Hickenlooper for spending some time with us and enjoy your first RAGBRAI!

Retired RAGBRAI Director Jim Green, better known as Greenie, passed away last week leaving behind an amazing legacy. Greenie dedicated 37 years to the Des Moines Register and RAGBRAI, with the last 17 of those as the director of RAGBRAI. TJ and Mark remember their friend and his impact on the cycling world in Iowa and beyond.

Since there has been a mountain lion sighting or two in Iowa. From that, there has been some humorous stories and one tall tale about trying to "paws" RAGBRAI's visit through mountain lion central. Murph also chats with some PIgtails participants about their experiences on the High Trestle Trail. She has moved away from Iowa and was just promoted to vice president at the USA Today, but she still maintains her passion for riding. Amalie talks about returning to Iowa often to partake in RAGBRAI and other cycling fun that our state offers.
