"Tenet"
03/09/2020 Duración: 01h18minIt's finally here. After months of delays and anticipation, the newest Christopher Nolan film is here for (most) people to see in the cinema on the largest screen possible with a sound system so loud, it threatens to drown out all of the dialogue. Let the discourse begin! This is our review of "Tenet" starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki & Kenneth Branagh. For this review, I am joined by Ryan C. Showers, Daniel Howat and Cody Dericks. We discuss the film's intricate (and sometimes highly confusing) screenplay, Nolan's large-scale ambition, the time-inverted visual effects, the performances and more! Disagree with our takes? Well, in the words of Christopher Nolan...Try not to understand them. Feel them. Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on... Next Best Adaptation - "Death On The Nile" By Agatha Christie
04/08/2020 Duración: 13minTHIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture Next Best Adaptation is back where we review the source material of the year's potential Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar contenders. Last time, we looked at "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier, and this time we are taking a look at Agatha Christie's mystery novel "Death On The Nile" which will be released on October 21st by Netflix. Directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh as the returning Hercule Poirot, it serves as a sequel to his 2017 film "Murder On The Orient Express." It will surely not only be compared to the source material but to the 1978 film of the same name. We mostly focus on the book here but also touch on the 1978 adaptation and what we hope for with Branagh's latest. Joining me for this podcast I have Will Mavity and Dan Bayer.
