Dr. Pierce explains why the focus of her work is on the early detection of memory changes, and how advanced diagnostic techniques provide accurate diagnoses of an often-confusing disease. The diagnostic methods they employ include things like detailed cognitive testing, genetic testing, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, MRI imaging, and PET imaging.
