At 16 Krystle Allen became Blind and turned inward. Eventually curiosity and strong connection to her family, friends and  the community in Newark, New Jersey helped her launch  her non-profit organization, Eyes Like Mine Inc. Cultural competency in AD means authentic experiences of film and television because #RepresentationMatters! Yet, the "white washing" of Black content continues.
