Episode 19 throws a cool bucket of reality on zombie movies and TV shows with the help of an extremely well-trained Green Beret. Luke guides us to safety with recommendations on making weapons and where to go when the zombies come knocking. What if they're Taliban zombies? How about werewolves? Although Will would normally suggest just cutting off their heads, there are blade choices to discuss. Luke suggests an understated rife that is ideal on several levels, including ammo economics. We talk about what cars could be good for running down zombies and other jerks you might encounter along the way. Now that we know not to bother taking refuge in the farmhouse, we’re grabbing our bugout bags, getting on the chopper and heading to that nice island we heard about. Episode 18 is all about Voodoo. We are joined by Eujenia, who is a Voodoo practitioner, who shares her knowledge on the subject and how it is portrayed in horror movies. We seem to summon a dog, eat some brownies, and discuss dolls and dance style choices. As the episode goes on, we talk about how to pronounce “jaguar” and how to use one as a GPS device. Before it all spirals into a Harry Potter movie, we’ll confuse you about Bill Pullman, Bill Paxton, Michael Cera and Jesse Eisenberg. To balance the Universe, we'll explain the difference between coffins and caskets as well as astral zombies and terrestrial zombies. Episode 17 marks the triumphant return of Jolyon! He surely wouldn’t want to miss a double-helping of vampire goodness! It’s an Original vs. Remake episode, featuring Let the Right One In (2008, Sweden) and Let Me In (2010, US). Of course we’ll have thoughts and opinions about making an English language version of an already awesome movie. But we’ll also have thoughts about drawing Mutant Ninja Turtles of the Teenaged variety, hunting down the Black Dahlia Killer ,and a really weird film version of Alice in Wonderland. We talk about dispatching bullies without removing their heads, visiting small towns, and how Michael Myers might take a different path if he just had some pancakes and a creative outlet. So, settle into the Freddy Krueger Lounge and listen to us compare these two works of vampire cinema. How many of your Earth Dollars will this cost? Zero!

Episode 16…ah, Sweet Sixteen! Will and Richard go one more episode without Jolyon. We miss him too, but he’ll be back. Meanwhile, we talk about What We Do in the Shadows, a 2014 horror comedy mockumentary about a group of vampire flatmates in New Zealand. First, the very real horror of bad roommates is up for discussion, including a halogen lightbulb being mistaken for drug paraphernalia, hidden chicken bones, and a whole mess of boxed up dishes. Who loves VooDoo Doughnuts? We doo! But that’s for another episode. In this one, we sip on Scotch and talk about a comedy that really works for us. If you like vampires and werewolves, it might just work for you too!

Episode 15 is kinda different. Jolyon is out with a cold, so he gets to dodge the bullet that is 1953’s "Robot Monster”. Richard and Will park it in front of a big television for a “live watch” of this badder than bad piece of….fiction. Is it a robot or a monster? You’ll know immediately that it’s a guy in a gorilla suit and a space helmet. Was this movie cursed by bad writing? Bad acting? Bad direction? Bad props and costumes? Yes! On the brighter side of this probable tax dodge, there’s an alligator with a fin glued to it, a terrifying bubble machine, a thing we call “the corndogger”, miles of stock footage and a spaceship so bad you’d swear a kid was operating it. We debate whether Michael Bay or Rob Zombie should re-make this gem and tell you where to get a cheap gorilla suit. And in the end, aren’t the monsters just the real monsters after all? Episode 14 finds your hosts discussing the new release, It Follows (2014). This is a really good one, which actually made it a little difficult to entertain you with our antics! Minor things that didn’t matter were the worst complaints we could come up with. You know how old movies show in the background of newer movies? Jolyon will not only tell you what they are, but how they might pertain to the story. Will has an idea using public transportation as an unofficial party bus. Richard tells you when you should hit someone up for "cool lessons” and why “Cutty Shark” isn’t a real Scotch. Unless maybe it’s what Santa Jaws ™ drinks. Oh, and before you throw a Phantasm sphere at us, we have since discovered that it’s David Hartman who has stepped in to direct Phantasm Ravager. So, what are you waiting for? In Episode 13, did Chewing the Scenery finally bite off more than it could chew? Of course not! We step right up to the New Year with a spirited discussion of one bad movie and four episodes of a good TV show! Have you ever wondered what a command performance by Erik Estrada might be all about? Neither have we, but we speculate nonetheless. What would you imagine a new show called “Spaceship America” to be like? Is it the Love Boat meets G.I. Joe? Perhaps Battlestar Galactica with the Osmonds? Maybe it's just hand puppets on the Moon! In the first 56 minutes or so, you’ll hear about all that and a string of spit that just won’t go away in New Year’s Evil. Episode 12 is a special one. We couldn’t keep this one from you any longer…a celebrity interview with entertainment icon and film critic Joe Bob Briggs. You may remember him from the TNT show he hosted “Monster Vision” or maybe you’ve read one of his many books. If not, it doesn’t matter- he’s a great interview! This was recorded on Halloween weekend at Colorado Horror Con. We had Night of the Living Dead in mind, since we knew that recording our episode would happen soon after, but decided that we would release this episode on its own. Joe Bob Briggs deserves his own spotlight, and in it he shares a wealth of knowledge, gives mad props to Tom Savini for his NOTLD remake, David Cronenberg for the Fly, and suggests some hidden cinematic gems you might also enjoy. Joe Bob has advice to new filmmakers, considering the “barriers of entry” into filmmaking are lower than they’ve ever been. So, kick back and enjoy a conversation with a real drive-in expert!

Episode 11 is our gift to you! The Christmas Horror Extravaganza is here, with three wise men bringing gifts of Horror right to your manger. Okay, it’s really just your hosts, and Christmas carols being played on rubber bands. We will, however, be discussing Black Christmas (1974), Christmas Evil (1980) and Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984). Before Santa Jaws ™ attacks, you’ll discover what a Mockbuster is and why Thanksgiving parades were better when they were rough around the edges. Who is a toad-like sex villain? You’ll find out! Would Jolyon rather be watching a nunsploitation movie? You bet your sack! So, sit back, pour some peppermint schnapps into your hot chocolate and enjoy the season!

Episode 10 is a milestone entry… a movie of present times will be discussed! Yes, fair listeners, your hosts will be talking about Krampus (2015). SPOILER WARNING, plot points and conclusions will be talked about in this episode! How well did the filmmakers tap into the ancient folklore source material? We’ll give opinions on that and more. Will speculates on how he might re-write this thing. Richard loves evil gingerbread men with nail guns, but not slow-pitch jokes. Jolyon figures the Krampus might have borrowed some of his look from the Skeksis of Dark Crystal fame. Episode 8 finds your hosts cruising a badass Hemi ‘Cuda from town to town in search of the sinister Tall Man and his amazing shiny balls. It’s another “cut to the sequel” with Phantasm II. Don Coscarelli wrote and directed this 1988 horror gem, giving us another chapter of the Reggie and Mike adventure. Will has a funeral road trip story that doesn’t end in a tremendous house explosion. Jolyon reports back on his attempt to interview Sammy Phillips. Episode 7 has your hosts discussing the quintessential "so bad it's good" movie, Plan 9 from Outer Space. This movie has everything: a posthumous performance by Bela Lugosi, Vampira's tiny waist and awesome cleavage, Zombie Tor Johnson, cardboard tombstones, bad actors delivering bad writing, and condescending space travelers! We are comparing the similarities and differences between the groundbreaking George Romero directed 1968 independent release and the Tom Savini directed 1990 remake.
