All the games reviewed, there were some daft red cards, Villa and Tottenham assets are likely to be particularly popular heading into GW18 and there's an assessment of the Tottenham midfield assets and the likely Villa line-up. Manchester United thwarted an under par Liverpool, Newcastle got back to winning ways and Everton made it 4 wins on the spin without conceding and there's discussion on the team who changed tactics and may have regretted it. And final points for the Gameweek aren't confirmed as yet following the collapse of Tom Lockyer - who thankfully appears to be in a stable condition - and the suspension of Bournemouth's game with Luton. Chelsea v Sheffield United | CotC with Gary Mantle & Ben Thompson | Planet FPL 2023/24
12/12/2023 Duración: 01h07minJames is joined on Clash of the Correspondents by Chelsea fan Gary Mantle and Sheffield United fan Ben 'Tommo' Thompson to discuss the latest at their clubs and preview Saturday's meeting at Stamford Bridge in GW17. For Chelsea fans, frustration with manager Mauricio Pochettino is beginning to grow following defeats at Manchester United and Everton but much of the anger may also be heading towards the owners, who could well spend big again (!) in the January transfer window. For Sheffield United, Paul Heckingbottom has departed, replaced by former favourite Chris Wilder, but has everyone welcomed him back with open arms? And there's discussion on why this Wilder version of The Blades, so far, looks different to what had been expected. Plus, this was meant to be when FPL managers steamed in to Chelsea assets. The prospects of Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling are discussed, but are they short term picks? And can any of the defensive players be trusted to do well? And Saturday's opponents should not be overlooked

The Wild Vice Card | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 24 | GW16 Review | Fantasy Premier League
11/12/2023 Duración: 01h49minAnother dramatic weekend of football for FPL managers, which included an injured Erling Haaland missing out for Manchester City and bug returns for Mo Salah and Heung-Min Son. While for James, multiple problems on top of the Haaland news prompted James to pull the trigger on Wildcard on Saturday night 2 weeks earlier than planned. While for Suj, despite having the vice captaincy on Mo Salah, he still scored less than a Salah-less James. But at least he didn't say Fulham wouldn't score 5 goals against West Ham last Friday... ...oh yes he did! All the games reviewed as Villa extended their incredible winning run, Tottenham finally turned a good performance into a good resullt against a walking wounded Newcastle, Bournemouth won comfortably at Old Trafford and Chelsea were humbled at an Everton who are 3 from 3 and no goals conceded. The Podcast also has a theme of options under consideration for James' Wildcard and Planet FPL won a trophy this weekend! Tomorrow on Planet FPL: Clash of the Correspondents, Chelse

Kings Of Leon | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 23 | GW15 Review | Fantasy Premier League
08/12/2023 Duración: 01h40minIt's more fun with flags with Alphonse Areola, Jamal Laascelles and Heung-Min Son all doubts for the weekend after last night's games that featured Suj's West Ham beating James' Tottenham in the Planet FPL derby. There's also concerns over several players who could be rotated or suspended over forthcoming Gameweeks and many in the FPL Community will be looking for a Bryan Mbeumo replacement. Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon appear the obvious choices to replace Brentford's talisman but James may have a different solution... All the GW15 games discussed which included another late Arsenal away game, a 5 star showing from Fulham and brilliant victories for Aston Villa, Manchester United and Everton. 07/12/2023 Duración: 55minA week of largely underwhelming captaincy returns for many in Sky Fantasy as Suj and James look ahead to a period where there will be big interest in Newcastle and Tottenham assets tonight and Chelsea's good run begins on Sunday and for some, including Suj and James, the investment has already been made. There's an update on the prospect of the Man City-Brentford game happening prior to Overhaul, learnings from the weekend, the default upcoming captaincies, awareness of having reserve cover for gamedays, there's attempts to make sense of Chelsea's defenders, Porro v Romero, players on 4 yellows are annoying, listener questions and more... Man Utd v Bournemouth | CotC with Gary Robinson & Neil Grover | Planet FPL 2023/24
06/12/2023 Duración: 01h57sJames is joined by Manchester United fan Gary Robinson and Bournemouth fan Neil Grover on Clash of the Correspondents to discuss contrasting fortunes at their clubs ahead of their midweek fixtures tonight and the GW16 meeting at Old Trafford on Saturday United were - though it didn't feel like it - the form team in the Premier League with 5 wins from 6, but following Saturday's woeful display at Newcastle it feels like United in crisis again with several questioning whether the players want to play for Erik Ten Hag. Is the situation recoverable for the manager? And it feels like we've seen it all before... so are the players the problem? While at Bournemouth, everything is beginning to look brighter for Andoni Iraola after three promising displays that have yielded 7 points and suddenly they are looking upwards from a position that had seen them pick up only 3 points from their first 9 games. There's discussion on FPL assets and remarkably it is Bournemouth players who may appeal more with some attractive fix

Aston Villa v Man City | CotC with Lee Jackson & Jonny Pringle | Planet FPL 2023/24
05/12/2023 Duración: 01h03minAhead of tonight's GW15 Deadline it's a top 4 Clash of the Correspondents as James is joined by Aston Villa fan Lee Jackson and Manchester City fan Jonny Pringle to discuss the latest at their clubs and preview the Wednesday night meeting at Villa Park. Villa could go above City with victory and then face Arsenal next, could they mount an unlikely title challenge if this week goes well? But it's been 3 consecutive draws for City in which they led in each game. Is this a bump in the road or should we be concerned about City's form? There's FPL chat on Villa assets ahead of the all important Blank Gameweek 18 featuring discussion on Matty Cash, Moussa Diaby and Ollie Watkins in particular. While for City, following the trip to Villa their fixture schedule is extremely attractive, but they don't play in the Blank. There's coverage on Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Phil Foden and if any of the defensive assets can be considered. Plus, with Jack Grealish and crucially Rodri suspended for Wednesday's game, are Cit

Illusions Of Chaos | Planet FPL S. 7 Ep. 22 | GW14 Review | Fantasy Premier League
04/12/2023 Duración: 02h02minClayton stands in for an unwell Suj to join James for a bumper review of the Gameweek 14 football where Heung-Min Son and a doubtful Ollie Watkins punished sellers by bagging a goal and assist. All the games reviewed, including James' trip to The Etihad for the thrilling 3-3 draw at Manchester City, while Clayton gives insight from The Emirates on Arsenal's victory against Wolves, there's concern for Nottingham Forest and some very different concerns for Manchester United after both lost 1-0. Sheffield United look set to sack Paul Heckingbottom and Liverpool left it late the beat Fulham 4-3. Plus, latest transfer thoughts for GW15 and beyond, 3.9 keepers are catching attention, if Mo Salah is the obvious captaincy shout this midweek with a trip to Sheffield United up next. 30/11/2023 Duración: 01h01minJames welcomes West Ham fan Chris Stone and Crystal Palace fan Ruaidhri McLaughlin-Dowd for a London Derby Clash of the Correspondents, but is there actually a rivalry between two clubs who have ambitions to grow on and off the pitch? Jarrod Bowen's fitness will be a hot topic of debate heading into GW14 and there's discussion on solutions for managers in the various scenarios of fit, unfit and unknown. Does Mohammed Kudus or Tomas Soucek fit any of the solutions? While for Palace new injuries for Ebe Eze and (a very serious injury to) Cheick Doucoure have caused alarm ahead of a tough swing in fixtures that follows defeats to Everton and Luton. Should Palace defensive assets be binned? For James that may mean moving Sam Johnstone on, but many other FPL managers will be considering moving Alphonse Areola, but The Hammers have good long-term fixtures to consider... The Podcast begins by covering Everton's point discussion with Sean given the opportunity to cover the mood and opinion from the Everton perspective on the punishment given to The Toffees and whether they are still likely to avoid relegation despite the deduction. Forest have a good run of fixtures which includes a Blank GW18 meeting with Bournemouth and there are defensive and offensive enablers that can be considered for FPL managers and Mark has some interesting words on Morgan Gibbs-White and how he may fare in the absence of talisman Taiwo Awoniyi. But is Steve Cooper under increasing pressure...? And for Everton, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is fit, while Jarrod Branthwaite and Abdoulaye Doucoure may also be worth consideration for an Everton team that now know every game takes on increased importance. 27/11/2023 Duración: 01h29minIt always seemed likely to be a tough weekend for Fantasy managers with many faced with conflicting issues and that has proved to be the case for many, including Suj and James, who reflect on their underwhelming weekends during the Gamewwek 13 Review. All the games discussed including another mad Tottenham game that ended in defeat to Villa side that's up to 4th, West Ham won it late, as did Arsenal who went top following the City-Liverpool draw, while Chelsea lost heavily at Newcastle, it was a great weekend for Luton and Alejandro Garnacho scored one of 'the' great Premier League goals at Goodison Park. FPL thinking discussed, including why Jarrod Bowen's fitness will determine what many will do, there's a number of misfield enablers suddenly putting their hand up for consideration, prospects for going double defence - including Arsenal, GW14 captaincy, Matt(y) Cash concerns, Reece James, why those who are planning to Wildcard in GW19 may have just been given a gift by the injury Gods...
